  1. Hi! I had this typed up already and it really answers your question...

There are lots of delicious vegetarian summer dishes. for example, if you're having a BBQ or picnic, you can enjoy some tasty burgers.  there are lots of burgers...keep in mind that some people understand veggie burgers as "soy burger" and others know it as "garden burger." They're totally different...the soy based ones look like meat, and are more meant to copy the taste, while the "garden" ones are really lots of veggies and spices, and though they taste Awesome, they're really not meant to copy meat in any way. I personally usually prefer the garden ones. Anyway, you may already know this, but just in case I thought I'd share.  It's good to know so when you're ordering at a restaurant or buying at the food store, you can get a clarification of what you'll be getting before you get it. (Burger King and most other fast foody places just do the soy ones I think.)

If you just stroll by the frozen food section at your local grocery store, you'll pass by dozens of different styles. (They even do 'chicken' and 'turkey' burgers, spicy chicken burgers, etc. etc..)

Also keep in mind all the "tofurky" brand of stuff...tofu made to taste/resemble meat slices you can throw in a sandwich. All these veggie things taste great. They even make vegan cheese these days (vegetable based), but I'm not vega so that doesn't matter for me.

Fried tofu Is excellent (especially with the right spices). Veggi burritos, stirfry, chow mein, casadillas, mushroom burgers, veggie lasgna, pizza, pita wrap, tuna salad sandwich, tuna melt, falaffel, shrip rice, spaghetti, egg salad, baked potato, and veggi stews are all tasty veggitarian options you can have at any time of year. There are lots of options out there, I could've gone on forever.

Also, fyi, you can make any meal you find, vegetarian style by either omitting the meat or substituting it with veggie meat, tofu, or some sort of vegetables. I like "www.allrecipes.com" the best cause you can search dishes by ingredient (i.e. tell it what you want and Don't want in a dish, and that you want dinner meal, and it'll bring up all these good foods).

Salads are always awesome during summer...especially the ones with fruits and fruit-style dressing.  you can make it salmon sandwich to make it more filling.

GOOD LUCK! And enjoy eating some tasty veggie dishes :-)
