  7. Yes don't put all your eggs in one basket , back say 3 e/w.I'd agree with Comply or die, must have a great chance, and i'll be backing the one i put most on last year Bewley's berry

  9. Hi

Philson Run, 33 to 1, he was 4th last year and Ollie Magerne, 50 to 1, he's a really bave horse, although the handicapper's been very unfair to him. Both worth a small each way bet.

  10. don't forget to put your bet on and don't loose your ticket.or you'll never forgive yourself.i forgot about 5 years ago and i would of won a Lot of dosh.

  11. I spoke to some of Bewleys Berry's connections at Cheltenham and they are looking forward to a big run. The stable is coming back to form in a big way.

  12. Loose button.....................................

Its bound to come off !

  13. 1. Weight is critical to Grand National Success

Hedgehunter became the first winner since Corbiere to carry over 11st to victory. A pound here or there over 11st should not be a major worry but do not bet on a horse to win if it carries over 11st 3lbs. The simple fact is only one other horse in history has managed to win with that kind of weight and that was Red Rum!

    2. Stamina is a major factor

The Grand National is a grueling race for any horse but only those with experience winning at over 3 miles can be expected to be in the running at the end of this race. So don't throw money away on two and half milers.

    3. The age of the horse is very important

Experience counts for much in the National. Horses aged ten years and older are preferred. Eleven out of the last 17 winners were aged ten or above. Nine year olds have had a few wins too but don't back any seven year olds as it's been 67 years since a seven year old won and few even finish the course!

    4. Nationality of the horse

Forget those French bred horses. Regardless of what people may say, they just can't go the distance in this race. But do take notice of the Irish horses - they are performing well and should be fancied.

    Summary

Go for a nine/ten year old horse that weighs approx. 11 stone with experience over long distances and, if possible, make it Irish!

The 2007 Winner Proves a Point

Let's look at the 2007 race. I followed my method exactly. I chose an Irish horse that was under 11 stone, 10 years old with a good racing background and got odds at 33/1. I picked Silverbirch - put £5 each way on him with Tote Sport and took home a handy £261 when the race was over!

    Daz

  14. Yes, don't get in the way of the horses once they're off.
