  1. Well something I found to work was the medicine Airborne. I haven't had a cold in 2yrs, also try taking Vitamin C. hope this helps

  2. pl check these remedies

  3. Go to a health food store and invest in a Netti Pot along with the SinuCleanse, which is a natural saline solution.  Use once or twice a day.  It sounds incredible but it has totally changed my life.  I haven't had a cold, sinus infection or problems with allergies since I have started using it.  Google nettipot see what you think.  There should be a video to explain how to use it properly.

  4. I was very skeptical but I tried that Cold Ease stuff and it really does work very well.  Give it a shot.

  5. eat plenty garlic. and drink ginger tea with lots of honey if you can stomach it. warm lemon and honey worx wonders.

main thing is lots of fruit.

lots of water (loads and loads to flush it out of your system) and lots of food high in vit c. oranges, grapes, melon...

try echinacea tincture too, taken everyday in a glass of water to help prevent you getting colds in the future.

oh yeah and in the meantime get some balsam tissues to stop you getting a red nose!!!

hope you feel better soon :-) xx

  6. Rest!  Sleep as much as you can, consume LOTS of fluids, (water, juice, hot tea with honey and lemon- avoid alcohol and caffeine) take vitamin C, echinacea and Oscillococcinum.

    Watch your favorite funny movies.

    Hope you feel better.

  7. the fastest way to get rid of a cold is to not lay around under covers all day but to go jugging or run. that way the cold won't stay in you for long but still do drink alot of liquids and rest just not all day.

  8. Keep warm

Keep rested (stay home from work or school and rest or sleep)

Drink plenty of fluids – pure fresh room temperature water, fresh home made organic vegetable juices, vegetable broths, herbal teas, hot water with fresh lemon juice. I really love hot toddies – gently warmed freshly squeezed orange juice, with a nip of brandy and a touch of honey.

Avoid sick people (if staying inside, this is obviously easy to do)

Even 24 hours of doing all of the above should help.

I had a cold coming on last month, I took the day off work and did all of the above and have been fine ever since.

Avoid all forms of exertion – the very worst thing you can do is exercise, as your body only heals when you are sleeping or resting. Your body needs all its energy resources to fight off the infection. If you use up all your energy by exercising, you will deplete yourself and leave your immune system wide open for the infection to take hold.

The Netti Pot (as mentioned by the above poster) is an excellent idea. But I think it should be used as a long-term solution, not as a quick fix.

  9. drink hot soup and drink water
