The glue after the wallpaper has been removed. I have been using krud kutter and sponges, but are there better ways than that? If so please name them with instructions on what we need and the tools that I need.

  1. We use wall paper remover and then Sugar Soap, check with where you are buying your products from

  2. Its a filthy & slow job however you do it. Provided you don't have some grim solvent based glue (that someone throught was a good idea in the 1960s...), the glue should be water soluable; hot detergent solutions, scappers and abrahsive sponges are as good as will get.

You're also unlikely to get a perfect finish - if that's what your after you either need to scabble & reskim or (much cheaper but not as good) remove the worst of the glue and use a heavy lining paper.

  3. i've used a hair dryer before, it worked because it reheated the glue which was then easier to remove with a scraper.
