Yeah, I know theyre in jail, but this kinda thing seems to get around Sydney all the same. People seem to hear stuff, know stuff, have friends that have friends, etc. etc.

How are he and his mates going, rotting in jail and all that?

They are sererving there time. So far no outlandish incidents have been reported. So maybe they learned their lesson.
