It's for a charity of course, one that is well known with a national reaching influence. It needs to be the next "big event" that the community will want to attend. Thanks for your help!

  1. "A taste of ___"(town or area name) always work well if somneone is not alread doing it. Local resteraunts set up and contribute food.  Tickets are sold for anywhere from $26=100 plus.See of the Newspaper or TV station will co sponsor thereby assuring you and your participating resteraunts lots of publicity and ticket sales.  Tickets can be sold atb the resteraunts as well as bu community groups.

Golf tournements are always popular but a bit overdone in some areas.

On a more casual level the great __(place or cause name) Chilli cook off is always good here the fire, police  eMT's etc each field a team of cooks there is an entry fee and ppl pay to attend and sample..   This could be done with any local specialty.

Try to tie the event closely to the cause,.  For example if a cancer fundraiser find a local or national celebrity who is recovering from cancer or makes it his/her cause to cut opening ribbon, do welcome speech or song, judge the chilli or whatever.  If an event for handicapped kids have some of the kids there.
