Because of short amount of time, I'm looking for attractions near each other that I could check out. Any ideas appreciated! Thank you!

  1. You might just be able to join up with LoganL!

See his question, and my longer answer there...

Most Central London features and attractions are within walking distance of each other, for a walker, and on the tube routes for fast connections.  Buses are slower than the tube, but you see more of London.

Kew Gardens, Windsor Castle, Hampton Court... etc.  are further out and need building into planned days.

Save any museums and galleries you want to see against having a wet day, or do them on your last day if there hasn't been one.

  2. I did this free walking tour when I lived there which was great. http://www.newlondon-tours.com/index.php...

It went from Tower Hill all the way past the east city area to Covent Garden and stopped at places like the inns of court, the place where the great fire of London started and some other places you'd never know existed. Best of all it's free (although it's customary to tip at the end). They also have a royal tour which would be quite interesting.

  3. Sit down and think of 8 to 10 things you MUST do...

You can do 2 major sites a day in London, in my opinion.

More if they are just "stop, look, and see" type places.

Try to group your "to do" list by how long it would take to see .

Also plot them on a tube map so you can assist yourself in being efficient in your journeys.

Then , just go and enjoy.  You can't see EVERYTHING in 4 days but you can hit some really high spots...

If you get to Trafalgar Square area and just in the mood for some TEX-MEX food, check out the Texas Embassy on Cockspur....

  4. Day 1: Houses of Parliament, Cabinate War Rooms and Churchill Museum, Westminster Abbey, London Eye.

Day 2: Buckingham Palace (only in Jul. and Aug), Clarence House (only in Aug.), Have afternoon tea at the Ritz, once in a lifetime experience, Trafalgar Square.

Day 3: Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Harrods Dept. Store, Victoria and Albert Museum.

Day 4: Tower of London, St. Paul's Cathedral, Museum of London.

*The British Museum is located a little farther than the other attraction in respect to staying in the same area, but is great to see. Also shopping on Oxford Street is fantastic.
