okay i really want sum highlights in my hair but i dont kno wat to look for

im black

i dont kno wat brand of highlights to get

i get perms i got one today so i kno that i have to wait round a week or so

and i really dont kno wat color wood go best

  1. It really depends on what you usually wear.

    I mean, If you wear purple a lot, its probably not a good idea to get bright orange highlights.

    But Blue, green, red, and purple are great base colors. :)

    i recommend Loreal Paris Color Rays. They are for people who have dark brown or black hair like you, and will show up without you having to dye your hair white first or bleach it.

    Also, they are not completely permanent, so if you want a different color you can just change it. then when you find something you like, but a longer lasting highlight set. :D  


  2. If you get a relaxer, you should not get highlights. Highlights use a lightener, which is VERY drying to your hair. Since you've already put a relaxer on your hair that is also drying, putting highlights in your hair will cause major breakage. When using a relaxer on your hair, you should only use semi- or demi-permanent hair colors.

    Any reputable hair stylist will not highlight your hair since you have relaxed it. If they do, be prepared to be very upset when your hair starts to break.
