Any harm in putting bigger rings in my car.?

If the cylinder is worn it will need to be bored. Use an inside bore  gage to check it. All new rings need to be checked for fit. Put them in the cylinder and check the gap in them with a feeler gage..

It depends on how much wear your cylinders have. Over sized rings are usually available for 1 or two thousandths of wear. Anything over that you need to re bore your engine and replace pistons and rings.

What type of rings are you talking about? if you are talking about piston rings, then you will more than likely have to bore it out.
