Mine is in the mail, but now I'm wondering if the Centro has an option in the preferences menu to select Sprint service or roaming only? Can someone please let me know??? I like Sprint service, it's pretty good around my area, but I live in the country and the only way my current phone gets good reception is if I have it set to the roaming only mode. If someone out there has the Centro, can you please look into this for me please?

  1. I have Sprint and I don't think you can set it at roaming only (but I don't explore my phone much with its extra and stuff lol) I live in the country with fairly good service (like you) and I have no problem with my service.

  2. The answer to your question is yes, your centro does have an area in the preferences menu to set your roam settings, the three basic roam settings are as follows; #1  "Allow roaming", this setting allows roaming to function as a backup if the sprint network is unavailable or the signal strength is extremely poor, #2 "Home networks only", this setting allows service to function through sprint home networks only and basically denies any roaming whatsoever. #3 "Roaming networks only" this basically does the opposite of setting 2, providing service through roaming networks only, thereby blocking all sprint network access whether available or not. I set mine to #1 and rarely have issues even in very remote areas. If you have any other questions once it arrives feel free to let me know.
