I make too much for medicaid or anything like that, but I have no insurance and the bills are already past 6k and theres more to go. I fell off a waterfall and the only thing I broke was my jaw and some teeth. It had to be wired shut, but most of my bills are not the negotiable bill from the hospital the money I owe is to the oral surgeon, not negotiable. They offer payment plans but I am a single dad so I dont have anything to spare at the end of the month, especially now that gas is so high and we live in the country. I also missed 3 weeks from work, so there went my savings for regular bills. Anything would help, thanks.

  1. In NC they have what they call Medicaid Spenddown. If you bills exceed what your income is in a month then you could qualify for that. Your child makes you eligable but you still have to pass income wise.  But again as stated you might fall under spenddown since you have out standing bills.

  2. i only know that social services might help since you have a child. they won't help anyone who doesn't.

also i don't know where you are in nc , but i used to live in winston-salem and i went to downtown health plaza to see doctors, they base it on your income there and let you pay in payments  you also get your meds cheap too. i used to pay like 18.00 to see a dr., the adress is 1200 martin luther king jr. drive, i don't know the phone #, but if you do go be sure to call and get an appt. first.

    hope this helps ya..
