  1. It seems like either a Corn Snake:

Or even a juvenile Rat Snake:

    Both are harmless.

  2. Can't figure it out, but I've given you a webpage for North Carolina snakes, where you select the snakes characteristics, and it comes up with closest picture of possible snake you have.

    Hope this helps you.

Most easy way to identify if the snake is poisonous, is to look for fangs, and the shape of the head.  A "diamond" shaped head is sign of danger, a more rounded head, without the points on cheeks, is normally non-venomous.

these should be the snakes you would normaly find in nc.  You could call your local zoo and ask them if they could help you idnetify it.

  4. its a tree snake its very dangerous if you re a kid but if youre adult it wont hurt you to much

to know how much poisonous is a snake only check if it is so colored

use this website to identify it,, i am not sure about the pink though:)   good luck

  6. ohh that is a common garter snake dont worry about it

  7. I wouldn't worry about your kids. They are more likely to hurt the snake than the other way around. Without a picture, I can't ID the snake. Worm snakes are like that but in reverse, dark on top and pink below.

  8. I heard that most colored snakes were poisinous
