Any help would be great, i have the dentist tomorrow and im terrified of it, and needles

and i have to have a filling, which uses a needle. i have rescue remedy which will help but i will still be a nervous wreck. lets say last time i went dentist wished he never went into the profession, i was a hysterical mess, tears and all.

i just need some help or advice,

when you get the warning the dentist is gonna put the needle in close your eyes  and you dont even know they used it.

Ok, please calm down. Tell the dentist you are very nervous. BE SURE that you ask for the gas. The gas is your best friend. It relaxes you and takes you on a trip to lala land. Having a filling is nothing. It will only take 15 minutes, tops. When I was 6, I had to get 7 fillings at once! I gad the gas and I had no idea what was happening :).

PS, the shot isn't that bad, because they will usually give you some numbing creem they put on with a qtip. If they go to do the needle without giving you the cream, ask for the topical numbing cream first. Sometimes thay dont think adults will need it.

I am the same way at the dentist.  even when I'm just getting a cleaning.  As soon as I get into the chair and close my eyes and don't open them until he says it's over.

Your dentist will slowly inject the anesthetic. The needle can sting. However, most people don't feel the needle itself. Instead, the sting they feel is caused by the anesthetic moving into the tissue.
