Question:

Any helpful tips for stress?

I'm in Grade 10 and I'm so stressed! I have so many assignments and I just can't seem to do enough. I've tried so many things (making To Do lists, organising certain periods of time for certain things and more stuff) but I can't keep at it and soon I'm stressed again.

Any good tips to reduce stress levels? It doesn't have to be helping organise school work, it can be calming things to.

Thank-you!!!!

  1.     Take a deep breath, and I mean that literally.  It may sound trite, but it is proven to work.  Concentrate on taking a deep breath. Inhale slowly and deeply through your nose with your mouth closed, and then purse your lips and slowly force the air out of our lungs until you are pushing out the very last of the air.  Do this 3-4 times, and every muscle in your body will be relaxed.  The great thing about this is you can do it anywhere, even in school.

I also recommend that you speak to your guidance counselor about this soon.  They can have the school psychologist evaluate you and see if there is anything else you can do to help.  School is going to get tougher as you advance, so you would do well to nip this in the bud before you are totally overwhelmed.

  2. Do not become stressed for pending work.  There is nothing which can't be done . You must have confidence in yourself that you can face any challange howsoever thogh it might be.

It is not easy to follow any timetable.

but do your work regularly so that there will be no pending work

  3. www.ayurvediccure.com/depression/diet-fo...

Here is a site to help through diet plus it gives more info on stress. Also there are vitamins that help reduce stress.

  4. Always make sure to include a few minutes in your day for you. Trust me, you can find them. Not something like watching TV, but pampering yourself, exercising, or even just taking a 30 minute nap will help you reduce stress. I highly recommend the exercising because it is a fabulous stress-reducer (especially weight lifting or yoga), keeps you in shape, keeps you focused, and also energizes you for your assignments. I recommend exercising in the morning, during lunch, or right when you get out of school, BEFORE starting your homework. Make sure you follow up your exercise with a whey protein shake, and if you want, blend it in a blender with some frozen fruit. This healthy smoothie will give your muscles exactly what they want, and help fuel you for the rest of the day.

    Trust me.

Another way is to not fret about tomorrow. Worrying doesn't make anything HAPPEN, so what good is it?

  5. We all have to deal w/ stress & the only thing we can really do is deal with it.

But for tips i guess i all i have is to make a certain time to finish one assignment, then take a bit of a break. Don't get overloaded & then finish up whats next. I would usually do longer assignments first to get it over with. && then the smaller ones later.

Its not much...but i hope it helped. =)
