  1. I'm sorry to say I don't, other than this product that is great on all stains called Zout.

But, I wanted to say that my SIL turns the bibs inside out when her son eats, so the cute side stays cute.  Thought that was a good tip.

  2. You can try a little vinegar and baking soda mixture and rub it on the stain before you drop it in the wash.

  3. I love oxy clean for babies- i use that and the totally toddler spray and i let them soak in the washing machine for about an hour before i was them and almost always get all the stains out.

  4. I always used 'Spray N Wash' on my son's bibs before I washed them; they never stained. I've also used 'Clorox Disinfect Wipes' on them before the food dries; that wipes up most of the wet stuff .. then I apply the 'Spray N Wash' right before I throw them in the laundry ..

After a few months of that, I thought, what's the point of keeping the bibs stain-free? Isn't that the point of the bibs is to get food all over them?

My son is such a messy eater, I just gave up trying to keep the stains off ..

He only wears the bib for 1 minute before it's covered in food all over again; the new food just covers the stains from the old food :)

Bibs are cheap, don't worry about keeping them stain-free, you'll drive yourself nuts trying to do that. IF you want to keep a few stain-free bibs for when you take the baby out, then use the 'Spray N Wash' before you run them through the wash; that works perfectly.

  5. I always use Spray 'n Wash on everything and I've never had a stain stay on a bib.  My daughter makes some pretty nasty bibs too.  Some people are afraid to use these kinds of products, but we've always used it and baby's had no problems.  I believe Dreft makes its own laundry stain spray too if you're worried...just spray them as soon as you can after they get messy.

  6. Isn't that why you buy a bib - to prevent the stains from getting on the clothes?  If they've been washed and dried already, there may be no hope.  I would say to soak or spray and wash them right away.

  7. I find that spray & wash (or similar) works pretty well.  It also depends if you wipe up the food & treat it immediately.

  8. Well..... I use dreft stain remover for all my stains and it works pretty well.  Also......  I find washin them right away or soaking them in the sink right away works well too.  But honestly..... unless it's a really cute bib that matches a cute little outfit.... then I wouldn't even really bother with it too much..... I usually keep just a few "junker" bibs that are for everyday use.....  because they are just going to get stains over and over again..... especially when you start letting baby feed themselves.... I'm talking about food EVERYWHERE!

  9. This does not help with your question, but get a rubber bib with the receptacle is the front.  We finally discovered them with our third child.  Very, very easy to clean.  Just handwash in the sink.

  10. Dreft stain remover.  They sell it in the baby aisle.  I keep a bottle in Emma's laundry basket and spray them when I throw them in there.

EDIT - Have you tried a plastic bib?

  11. I have discovered something that really seems to work on the stains my daughter always seems to get on her bibs and on her clothes (she is a messy eater, hehe, and seems to manage to get food on her pants even though she wears a bib and sits in a high chair).

They just came out with OXY CLEAN FOR BABIES.  It's gentle enough for babies clothes and bibs, doesn't affect their gentle skin and works great.) Okay, so I sound like an advertisment but it really does work.

They also sell a plastic type bib, where all you have to do is wash it with a washcloth after your baby is done eating and this type will eliminate stains all together.  Plus most of them have a pocket at the bottom to catch food when it falls.  The problem I have with those is my daughter doesn't like wearing them, she just seems to play with them and put them in her mouth..so I have to stick to the material bibs and I just spray it with oxy clean baby once she is done eating, and put it in the hamper until i'm ready to do a load.  If the stain is really bad I will re-spray it before putting into the washer.   And that seems to work for me, my bibs come out of the wash white.  It costs about 4 dollars for the bottle and I bought mine at Walmart.
