The 2nd One Day International witnessed an astounding performance by Alastair Cook as he marshalled the English troops to a comfortable victory against West Indies, consequently securing the three-match series 2-0 at the Kennington Oval, London

The captain said that while criticism is never far away, he is simply pleased to have contributed to the team’s winning cause.
"I don't think you ever firmly put them to bed, as I always say," he said after his Man-of-the-Match performance.You are only ever a few low scores away but what was pleasing today, I haven't really hit the ball quite as nice over the last month as I'd like
to have done."
