While it is not impossible, it is very unlikely.  The Pacific waters there still tend to be a bit cool for tropical systems to maintain themselves at that time of year, and tropical systems that approach from much further to the east tend to be pulled northwest well before reaching the longitude of Hawaii.

It is the tropical storm season by then.  Hurricanes and Typhoons are regional names.  Hurricanes in the USA including the west coast of the USA and typhoons in places like Japan, China and the Philippines...
