  1. Head east on High St toward George St

    Slight right at Queen St

Turn right to stay on Queen St

At St Botolph's Circus, take the 4th exit onto A134/Southway

At the roundabout, take the 4th exit onto A134/Balkerne Hill

    Continue to follow A134

    Go through 1 roundabout

At Westway, take the 1st exit onto A133/Colne Bank Ave

    Continue to follow A133

At Spring Lane Roundabout, take the 2nd exit

    Take the ramp onto A12

Take the A1023 exit toward M25/M11/Brentwood

At Brook Street Roundabout, take the 4th exit onto the M25 ramp to M11/M1/Watford

    Merge onto M25

At junction 16, exit onto M40 toward B'ham/Oxford

At junction 7, take the A329 exit to Thame/Wallingford

    Turn left at A329

    Turn right at A415/Abingdon Rd

    Continue to follow A415

    Arrive in Abingdon, Oxfordshire

  2. The cheapest (and possibly easiest) would be by National Express coach to London Victoria Coach Station (go to the 'National Express' website for coach times and fares). Then the 'Oxford Tube' coach service from Victoria (very frequent - up to every 12 mins - pay the driver - single £12 - returns save money). From Oxford you will have to catch a local bus - these are very frequent. They go from 'St Aldates' in the city centre.

By train it would be faster, but probably more expensive. You will have to catch the Underground between Liverpool Street and Paddington stations and will still have to catch a local bus from Oxford. Check fares and times to Oxford on National Rail Enquiries website. For all options on all forms of public transport go to 'traveline.co.uk' - but this will not tell you fares.
