  1. i don't know about the first two bur there are many jobs related to language. there sales executives where u have to work on line . teaching kids , or transcriptions where u will probably get a CD or tape , u have to listen to them and translate them. u do it at home and get paid for the word. language related jobs should be ideal for u since u don't wanna travel much. in fact most of these can be done staying at home and the pay is adequate.

Below are a different industries in which knowing a foreign language may be advantageous :

    Media(Journalism) and Film industry

Tourism and travel services Industry including Airlines and Hotels

    Banks and Insurance companies

    local, state and federal government

    International non-profit organizations

    Publishing companies

Department of Defense and International Embassies.

    Representatives in Foreign Companies

    Health Services

    Social services

    Immigration services

    Elementary, high schools,Universities and colleges

    hope i helped.

  2. Try visiting their official websites and seeing if there are any vacancies. Try not to blink when they request you fill out the security clearance forms when you apply (yes some of them get a bit personal). Most of these jobs would require at least a uni degree.

Usually you don't travel overseas with state government jobs. Federal sometimes depending on your position but not State.
