Any idea what kind of bug this might be?

I was just outside and was harrassed by a flying bug which was about 3 times the size of a bumble bee. It was brown on the head and the tail was black and white striped. It looked very scary. I have never seen a bee like that before. Help.

Did it buzz really loudly, I know some bugs that are huge and are bees, but they do not have such a patterned abdomen. Also, killer bees are almost exactly the same in appearance as a regular honey bee. I would guess that it is some kind of beetle, like a chafer. Some look like as you described. I would like to see a close up pic of it tho, because there are so many possiblilities for the type in question.

another possibility is that it is a paper wasp, with the abdomen, but the size is not that big. Also, there are many different types of bumble bees with different sizes, so I am not able to really imagine the bug. Given that it was harassing you, did you wear bright clothing that was not white? That would probably mean some kind of nectar-loving insect such as bees, which cannot see white yet are attracted to lively colors that resemble those of a flower. Or was it just your smell? lmfao. Perfume maybe
