My 7 year old son is having yellow diarrhea...slightly lighter than an egg yolk. He hasn't eaten or drank anything of that color. He threw-up once this morning. He has also been complaining about his stomach hurting for about 2 days but the diarrhea just started this morning. Any ideas?

  1. Yellow is a normal color for diarrhea, but if he doesn't improve today, take him to the doctor.

  2. You can also try tthe BRAT diet. Bananas, Rice, applesauce, Toast. This helps with diarrhea. Also, give him plenty of fluids. Flat gingerale I find does the trick. You don't want him to dehydrate. Sounds like it might just be a bug, keep an eye on him and if he doens't get better in the next day or two call the doc. If anything it will set your mind at ease. I know its tough when kids are sick, you went to help asap. best of luck

  3. They have imodium ad for kids and that helps for the diarrhea. That sounds normal, my child had a virus and she  was ill for about a week. Just make sure you give him lots of fluids to keep him hydrated and replenish his elctrilytes. Pedialite or gatoraide work great.

  4. ok give him peptobismo and if that dont work take him to the doctor
