Ive been playing football with my friends for a while now when i picked up an injury, the first time when i stood in my left foot to kick the ball and my body weight shifted to the left but my leg stayed in place from there down (best way i can describe it). There was just a crack sound and then a huge amount of pain, after that i could barley play or run for about a week and it took about another 2 before it was back to normal.

It happened a second time but not so bad healed up a lot quicker, and a lot less sore but my knee always felt a bit weaker after that, but im not sure it that was just my brain telling me not to try to over work it.

It happened a third time today but even less bad, not really sore and it already fells better. Although that was actually after i stopped playing and was just standing moving my leg around a bit.

So any idea what it is or has anyone had anything similar?

  1. so like you went to kick the ball, planted youre left foot and it just buckled underneath you and you fell...with huge amounts of pain....

im no orthopedist but it sounds like you probably sprained a ligament in youre knee if it took 3 weeks to get better...

the second and third time sounds probably like you were just tweaking it...and yes tweaking is my medical diagnosis...next time just walk it off and be a man....as in the words of peyton manning..."rub some dirt in it"
