Any idea why the program Ad-aware never updates?

When I try to download updates it says 'no internet connection'.

Does anyone else have this occur?

Upgrade If you have an older version than ad-aware 2008.

first uninstall the previous version.

sorry if you already have the newest version, if you do, I'd would reinstall it after uninstalling maybe it installed incorrectly or a file was deleted somehow.

check you have the newer version which is still free.I had the older version,which stopped updating,so i had to download newer version.If the icon is an axe with a red circle around it its the older version.Hopefully another answerer will have the link info.good luck

Are you sure you are using the latest version?  The older versions can't update, so you may be getting odd error messages.

If you think you have the latest version, boot to SAFEMODE WITH NETWORKING and then try to update it.

If this doesn't work, please AMEND your question to include this info : )

Do you have the internet connected when you update. If you have I suggest a reinstall and that should pick up your internet settings.

I had the same problem mate. You have an old outdated version which is obsolete and does not update. Delete the program and download the new version, it's far better.

or make sure your firewall isnt blocking it

The latest version of the defs is 0108.0000

At the moment there seems to be a problem with the server.
