Any ideaas for a low budget sweet 16 party??

okay, my birthday is in July and i really want to do somethng i'll never forget! I don't really want to rent out a hall or anything like that. I just want me and my close friends to hang out. I'll be able to date finally. so if you have any ideas please tell!!!!!!!!!

Set up a projector against a screen in your back yard and watch a favorite movie or two or even a slide show of pictures of your first 16 years....have a bon fire and roast hotdogs, marshmallows, pass out popcorn - have smores and enjoy talking under the stars afterwards.  Basically, make your own drive-in in the back yard!

Themed parties are always the best, try doing and Era Party, like the 70's and dress up like people back then and wear the makeup or whatever era, always take pictures and you can cherish those fun memories.  Or another thing is find a movie you guys really love and pretend like you are doing the movie scenes.  Like we really love Gone with the Wind and we acted out the scene where Scarlet runs down the stairs to meet Wesley.  Use your creativity and just be simple it is always best.

Have a home party or BBQ at the beach or potluck party at a park. With some great music and games, your party can be fun and affordable.

Define low budget.  It could be different for different people.  

How about get all dressed up and go out to eat.  Have the parents drop them off at the restaurant.  Then have a limo pick you you up and just drive around town for a few hours.  Stop at a lake or the ocean for pictures, stop and get ice cream.

Low Budget Party Ideas

Hollywood Party

Budget $450

Colors: Red, Black, and White

Decorations: decorate the house with white Christmas lights and white tulle. Also lay out red carpet made of red felt coming up the front door with red Christmas lights along each side. Then cut letters out of foam board in the same style as Hollywood sign. Put these up on wall with lights behind it. Rent a helium tank from Party City and blow up red balloons attached with stars. On the tables place white tablecloths, red roses in vases, white and black confetti in the shape of top hats and bow ties, and red star confetti.

Activities: In the dinning room, place a Sweet 16th scrapbook that people can write messages where you can later place pictures of the party. Use photo booth with a digital camera and lay a bunch of disposable cameras around the house for people to take pics of themselves.
