Any ideas about a gift for the 8-year old girl?

This girl is the daughter of a casual friend of mine. It is a gift for her First Communion. My budget is limited to about $20. Any ideas on something nice, appropriate and within this budget? Thanks for the help.

How about a gift certificate to the local Christian store? They sell all sorts of things there such as bibles, rosaries, jewerly, holy pendants, and more.

get her a prayer book or some movie or a CD. 8 year olds like:

Jonas Brothers

Hannah Montana

or anything Disney

A webkinz they are a big craze at this age you can get just about any animal and they are about $10 then just get an angel pin or cross pin to attach to it. She will love it!

Check the little girl's jewerly at Walmart.  It's real 14 - 18 karat gold, & very affordable.  Anything gold, will have lasting meaning.  Also, little girls this age, love to recieve jewelry.  It will make her feel grown up & special.  Check out items like:

Child's 14k gold hoops with little hearts- earrings for only $19.88!  You can't beat that.  They also carry small gift boxes in that department, for gift giving.  

So, it will be a very nice gift of gold, looks like you spent a little more but you didn't, & any little girl loves to get jewerly.

Get her a rosary or a braclet online that says, "Jesus loves me" or get her a little Cummunion packet that includes a candle, rosary bible and other little remembering favors.

I don't know about appropriate but if you get her a Hannah Montana DVD, (or anything Hannah Montana) your gift will be her favorite from the party!

Let her Grandma, Aunt and Godmother get her the pink rosary...trust me go with Hannah!
