  1. First-color! I hate going into a store with white walls-it makes it look dirty to me and cheap. Maybe even accent walls in different colors-not intense or super dark-but not pastels either-except maybe a main color like tan or gray or such. Walk the mall-get display and color ideas from other shops. What about posters or closeups od shoes? You could get "models" (friends) to wear shoes -even things like old tennis that are ripped with leggings or high sox-thats how my teen wears hers-and then use Cafepress.com  ( free site if you just upload and print for you-them take that photo off and upload another) to get posters that are completely yours! You can make tees for your employees too and other things with your logo. Quality stuff for minimal prices. You could paint accent squares or rectanges on walls and use 1/2 round (paint or stain it first) to edge it to make gallery areas. What about a whole "mural" of shoes? You could get old shoes from goodwill etc and spray paint the heck out of them so they are just "shapes" and staple to the wall in a big mural-in a cirle or square or spiral etc.

  2. ahaan!..u didnt mention wt shop size u have? anyways best thing2do is..play with colors around!

tile work on floor, specially beige or ivory tiles with shar red/blue/green color border edgings or so...and on displaywall...i'd luv2have built-in-wall boxes(18"square) wid mirror behind and lights above each display box where u can place shoes or sandals!...ohh yaa! y not having folding stools after 3/4 box-display rows ....these stools goin2be folded back2wall to provide enough space!.....its goin2be bit tricky though but if u get gud help, nothing is impossible:)

  3. they make this paint that you can write on with chalk, like the stuff on a chalkboard or blackboard.  cover your walls with it and do some graffitti style stuff with colored chalks.  you could also invite your customers to add their own touch to the walls, appropriate things of course. add some colored lightbulbs around the place and there you go.
