I was thinking about doing sage green, chocolate brown and gold... would those be appropriate for an outdoor wedding in October? Does anyone else have any ideas? Thanks for any suggestions or pictures!

  1. my wedding is 10-04-08.  I will be using sage green and ivory with mixes of burt orange.  I think the colors compliment one another.  Congrats!

  2. You can choose any colors you want, they do not have to "match" the season.  So if you want chocolate, sage and gold then go for it.

  3. Rust, dark red and brown are gorgeous.  I used to do weddings in Vegas and that was a very common theme.

  4. I dont think you have to use certain colors for a fall wedding.  What you should be looking at are any color, just deep shades of them.  Spring and summer are more light and flirty, where as fall is dark and warm.  Dont stress over having to have certain colors for the autumn feel, just go with the deep shades.

  5. Sounds great! Oh, your wedding will be so pretty!

If I were you, I'd focus on shapes (say, oak leaves or acorns or pine cones) that you can use in the invitations and that play off of those colors with everything, from the cake (see link below) to the flowers and other favors.

  6. That sounds gorgeous. Throwing in a little orange would be nice too.

Good site above it lets you change the color of the dress so you can see it in different colors.  I like the dark green, chocolate brown and like a light tan

  8. Yes, that would definitely work.

There are tons of colors that work for fall:

Persimmon, yellow, brown, burnt orange, red, plum, bright orange, golden yellow, green, cranberry.....

But I like the colors you mentioned, I think it would turn out really beautiful.

  9. Some maroon or burgandy shades would work for an autumn wedding, except if you've gone to UT like I have - burnt orange is the color! LOL!
