  1. play a chess game with French words written on the squares, and say the phrases as you move onto the squares. Only use the French defense as black, and make sure you say En passant, when you utilize the move. :D I don't know how good of a plan that is, but it's better than any of the answers you have gotten so far ^^

  2. For small numbers, you can play UNO, and the player has to say the number in French when playing the card (or even Dominoes).

For higher numbers, you can play BINGO, saying the numbers in French.

I also use a perpetual calendar (I found one in the phone book)...the student would have to tell me his birthdate in French (the day of the month, the month and the year) and I will tell him/her, the day of the week he/she was born.

For clothes, I use a hamper, full of different kind of clothes, and we pretend we have to do the laundry and name all of the pieces.

  3. Mille Bournes and Le Jeux de Sept Famillles are traditional French games.  You could also buy the French version of games like Monopoly.

  4. French version of Scrabble? hehe...just joking. None that i know of. Try looking stuff up on the web.
