Question:

Any ideas for a family visiting Villefranche on the French Riviera?

On July 27, my family will have a port call to Villefranche for the day.

We are interested in beaches, biking and possibly snorkeling.

Can a kind former cruise passenger, or someone familiar with the reason offer a few suggestions?

Not interested in Monaco or Nice on this trip.

I posted to the French site - they did not like my English post nor my few French expressions.

  1. Take the "little train" for an hours tour of the town... Once you have done that you can decide what you would prefer to do for the rest of the day.

There are plenty of nice beaches, and lots of things to see...

The local tourist office sets up for those arriving on a cruise ship, so they can give you plenty of information.

You could visit the Citadel Museum (closed on sunday mornings, so you would have to go in the afternoon since the 27th is a sunday).

Also you could go to Saint Jean Cap Ferrat which is a lovely little town very close by... again with nice beaches...

And definitely enjoy some french cuisine while you are there!!!

I wish you a pleasant visit!!
