if you are anywhere near sutton coldfield there is a beautiful restuarnt is sutton park over looking a lake. you can request a window seat. It used to be called the la reserve by boldmere gate. If you intersted let me know and ill get a number for you.

La Tasca's in star city, it's fab food, nice romantic atmoshere, nice surroundings.

the loft, in the pallasades or there is a jaket spud place in the pallasades (dont know the name) that is really posh, hope i helped

bank, simpsons,  jessicas, are all decent, if pricey places.

In my experience, in birmingham, the more dressed up the restaurant is for romance, the crappier the food.

www,birminghamplus.com has a wide range of restaurants listed and critiqued, but I would suggest either Chinese..Birmingham has some fantastic Chinese restaurants .or Indian; specifically Balti, which was invented in Birmingham and lends itself to an intimate dining experience as well as a liberating one. There are hundreds of Balti restaurants, better look them up on the net and read some reviews.
