  1. This is the best salad in the summer.. everyone absolutely loves it after they taste it

    Strawberry spinach salad

"The dressing in this spinach and strawberry salad is fabulous. It begins with vinegar and olive oil and goes on from there with sugar, bits of onion, Worcestershire, sesame seeds, paprika, and poppy seeds. It 's chilled before serving so all of the flavors mingle nicely."

    INGREDIENTS:

    2 tablespoons sesame seeds

    1 tablespoon poppy seeds

    1/2 cup white sugar

    1/2 cup olive oil

    1/4 cup distilled white vinegar

1/4 teaspoon paprika 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

    1 tablespoon minced onion

10 ounces fresh spinach - rinsed, dried and

    torn into bite-size pieces

1 quart strawberries - cleaned, hulled and

    sliced

1/4 cup almonds, blanched and slivered

    DIRECTIONS:

    1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the sesame seeds, poppy seeds, sugar, olive oil, vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and onion. Cover, and chill for one hour.

    2. In a large bowl, combine the spinach, strawberries and almonds. Pour dressing over salad, and toss. Refrigerate 10 to 15 minutes before serving

  2. Everyone always loves this:

    FRUIT AMBROSIA

    2 c. heavy whipping cream

    1/2 c. sugar

    1 tsp. vanilla extract

    1/2 tsp. almond extract

1 large can mandarin oranges, drained

1-2 cans fruit cocktail, drained (I like Triple Cherry)

    1/2 c. flaked coconut (optional)

    3-5 c. miniature marshmellows

Beat the cream, sugar & extracts until very stiff peaks.  Fold in fruit & marshmellows.  Chill (can do the day ahead)

  3. Make a pot roast in the crockpot with carrots, onions, potatoes and garlic.  Get a good round roast.  Simmer it on low all day at least 8 hours and cook on high for last 2 hours. Warm it before you go to the pot luck.  MMMMMM.  Don't for get salt and pepper to taste.

  4. This is a very easy and delicious potluck dish. Guys LOVE it and the girls will too.

    Ingredients:

Kielbasa Sausage sliced into 1/2" peices

Canned (DRAINED) sliced jalapenos (I would use about 1 can per kielbasa you use)

Sweet & Sour Sauce - I would use about one bottle per kielbasa (the kind I like the best is by World Harbors - see link below).

Hot Sauce (optional) I like using Sriracha Hot Sauce

    Canned Diced Pinneapple

    Instructions:

Put all of these ingredients into the crockpot and turn on high and cook for 3 hours or on low for 5 hours. Just make sure it looks like all the ingredients are even. Example, you don't want to have more pinneaple then keilbasa. Also, if you know some people do not like spicy foods, don't put a lot of jalapenos and hot sauce in it. You can have a side of sliced jalapenos that people can add to their if they choose to. If you wanna kick *** with the spice add 1 to 1-1/2 cans of jalapenos per keilbasa plus about 1 TBSP of the hot sauce per sweet & sour sauce jar added.

Remember you can always add more, but you can't take away so be careful and taste it once the meat is cooked. You can always add more if it is not spicy enough.
