  1. a great song would be "Have You Ever Seen The Rain?"

by CCR or maybe an Elvis song!

  2. If I were you I'd pick some songs that you sound good singing, or maybe one you can make your own. You don't have to play a song verbatim.  Try some chord substitutions - or take a non-acoustic song and make it acoustic.  Like Andy McKee's version of Toto's Africa.

Don't pick a song because you think the crowd will like it, chances are that's the same thing everyone else is going to do.  I prefer songs by "forgotten artists" like Saigon Kick, Michael Penn, or even Death Angel.

    Anyway, good luck!!!

  3. first single-the format

    such great heights-iron and wine

    the ground folds (acoustic)-senses fail

    swing life away-rise against

i really suggest swing life away, its very moving, as well as the first single

  4. You are't Pheobe off friends by any chance are you? Playing acoustic guitar at a coffee shop...

Anyway... It all depends on your skill level. If you haven't been playing for long, but are good enough to make some fast chord changes then "Hey there Delilah - Plain White T's" would be great for you.

If you are more of an advanced player then something like "Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven" Would be fantastic to learn and play. It is still relatively simple, but it all depends on how you feel about it.

    Hope this helps.

  5. I was wondering the same thing Patrick... =p (If you're Phoebe)

    Umm...

California Dreaming - The Mommas and the Poppas

This land is your land - Woody Guthrie (This was the first song I ever learned!!!)

Iris - The Goo Goo Dolls

    Yellow Submarine - The Beatles

(almost) Any song by Taylor Swift or Kelly Clarkson

What I like about you - (I don't remember who sings it)

    Tell me - Madonna

I'll be there for you - The Rembrandts

Most of Cheryl Crows songs are good

There are so many good ones! I could go on forever, but this should be enough to get you started.

  6. "I can see clearly now the rain is gone...."

  7. green eyes by coldplay... sorry, i'm listening to it right now. nice acoustic song.

  8. oasis  - wonderwall

hey there delilah - plain white tee's

    fly away - lenny kravitz

  9. Bizzare Love Triangle - Frente!!!

  10. Dylan is always a crowd pleaser.

  11. Something by The Hush Sound. They are epic amazingness.

Right now the first song I can think of from them that's mostly acoustic guitar is The Market.
