  1. well i dont know how many carbs are in this, but stir fry with vegetables and little tofu squares is good... also you can make homemade soup and put vegetables and little tofu squares in it. maybe add some little noodles.......... or you could make spaggetti with tomatoe sauce and little tofu squares.... you can do just about ANYTHING with tofu..... trust me, im vegetarian and used to be vegan.... and yeah, theres los of recipices with tofu in them                --hope that helped <3

  2. Get some toasted sesame oil from Whole Foods (must be toasted!) and Bragg's Liquid Aminos (a healthier soy sauce). You can make a teriyaki sauce using about a Tbsp. of sesame seed oil with the Bragg's and a little maple syrup or agave nectar with a little warm water. You don't even have to cook the tofu; just slice it and let it marinade for a bit and eat it cold with a nice big salad! It's great in the summer! (Of course, you could always fry the tofu in olive oil and then dip it in the sauce afterwards). Another possibility--stir-fried tofu (with the sesame oil, by the way, a necessary ingredient in any stirfry).

  3. We like to cut extra-firm tofu into very thick slices;  brush with a little olive oil;  sprinkle with garlic salt & oregano, and grill on the BBQ on all sides, until golden brown ......Great with grilled zucchini & crookneck squash, a green salad and a fruit salad

  4. put everything in the oven and just see wat happens

  5. slice the tofu about 1/4 inch thick, put on a cookie sheet, and spray with braggs' aminos or tamari, nutritional yeast, and some spices. bake on 350 until a bit crunchy (or soft, if you'd like) sooo tasty! you can flip them over halfway if you want, but you don't have to. you can use the leftovers on a sandwich for lunch tomorrow, too!

  6. Tofu Lasagna (Low Carb) Rec.food.recipes/AprilJones/2001 1 lb. firm tofu 1 lb. extra lean ground beef 1 lb. pork Italian sausage 1/2 cup onion, chopped 4-5 cloves garlic, minced 1 jar (26 oz.)...

  7. Serves 6: Greek Tofu Salad Ingredients:

        *  1 lb firm tofu

        * 1/3 cup olive oil

        * 1/3 cup wine vinegar

        * 1 tablespoon basil

        * 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

        * 1 teaspoon oregano

        * 1 teaspoon salt

        * 2 small tomatoes

        * 1 cucumber

        * 1/4 red onion

        * 1 cup black olives

       1.   Cut 1 block tofu into small chunks the size of dice. Press the chunks gently with towels or cloths to absorb any excess water. Steam raw tofu for 5 minutes to kill food pathogens if you're not going to bake it.

       2. Whisk remaining ingredients together in a bowl.

       3. Pour this marinade over the tofu and let sit for at least an hour, or up to overnight.

       4. Meanwhile, chop veggies, stir them into the tofu mixture and toss. Or bake the tofu as below, (SV Suggestion: or fry the marinated tofu in a little oil), and slice into strips before adding to the salad.

       5. Optional: For Greek Tofu Bake, cut the tofu into thin slabs instead of cubes. Prepare the marinade as directed above. Lay the slabs on a baking tray, cover with marinade, and bake at 350° for 25 minutes, flipping once. Cut into strips and serve over salad or in whole wheat tortillas.

       6. Serve as a salad on its own or atop a bed of fresh spinach leaves (or other greens).
