I have a five year old boy and 8 year old girl, boy loves anything with wheels, girl loves doctor who and animals.

We have considered the doctor who exhibition at Earls Court, being a zoo keeper for a day and all the usual kids party ideas (the farm, bowling, ice skating etc).

Do any of you wonderful, intelligent and exciting people have any interesting and different ideas for a birthday party for either little cherub??

With much thanks in advance.....

  1. parachute jumping

  2. your ideas sound great but will not suit both kids. if you have a big enough garden you could think about a bouncy castle, face painter, music and food. it will work out cheaper and be loads of fun..

  3. Hi,

how about a sleepover in the best kiddies shop ever you know Hamleys arrange special sleepover parties its a totally awesome experience.

I'm sure they would love it and remember it long after they grown up.

Look here for more info http://www.myhamleys.com/experience/chil...

Good luck and wish you all the best!

  4. well it depends on how many people you are inviting.

if you are only inviteing a couple of people do somethin like

(ice skating, movies, sleepover or a play day,or a family day out)

  5. There is something near here called 'Diggerland'. Kids get to play in diggers! Anything like that near you?

A friend lived near an army camp and arranged with them to allow her son and party to drive a tank and sit in it. Could you arrange something along those lines?

  6. hire a bouncy castle it dont cost much and the kids will love it.

  7. There are companies will plan out everything for you for your kid's b-day. Save you a lot of hassle!

  8. My 4-yr-old grandson just had his birthday party at the local fire station!  They had a room for him to have it, and the firemen were there to talk to the kids...and they let the kids climb all over the fire engines & paramedic ambulance.  My daughter got a "cupcake cake" (cupcakes pushed together, and frosted as a cake on top) shaped like a fire engine from Kroger's.  She had plastic fire hats for favors, and they did a pinata on the front lawn of the fire station.....

8 is tougher, because things can be too "babyish" for her.  I think IHOP has a Dr. Seuss menu now, and maybe they have parties there...
