Yeah i agree u can work 2 jobs or get a weekend job in a bar (provided u r old enough of course)  failing that what about cleaning cars in your neighbourhood? u can charge what you like, it's just a thought if option 1 is not realistic

This is a convention city!  Do catering work or part time at a  major hotel is a great gig!  You wear uniforms- no brain er to conflict with your real motivations.  

My father was a professor and a auto mechanic- his wisdom kept us from starving during rolling layoffs and changing locations!

I have always had "trade training" and use both my college degree "career" and trade to keep it fresh.   Consider that.
