Any ideas for my 14 birthday party?

this would be a party in february 2009 so it is far away but i want to start planning, any suggestions?

try to think of some theme parties. For example I know this is probably played out but the "Party Like A Rockstar" theme, "Pretty in Pink," and so on. Hopefully that helps.

it really depends on what you like to do.

most girls that are 14 LOVE to shop, so you could do what i did one year;;

1. had a scavenger hunt at your nearest mall

2. went to see a movie

3. topped it off with a sleepover

i don't know what your interests are, though, so it's slightly tough. for the past five years, i've always ended my parties with a sleepover, but done something before that, like going to an amusment park.

and then there's the whole boy-girl thing. you could rent out a ballroom at a nearby hotel or just have it at your house (wherever you like, basically), and have a bunch of guys and girls come just for dancing and talking and food. then, you could have a few of your close friends spend the night.

these are just random ideas that me and my friends have done.  for your infoo.

also, you should check with your parents and see how many people are allowed to come, and what your budget is. you should probably start planning with that in mind. it should be your base.

and, keep in mind that this party is FOR YOU, and is in YOUR best interests, so it should be something that you like to do, not something that should impress other people-

so, for instance, if you like acting- you could get a bunch of friends together, hand out scripts, get some costumes, and film a movie, then put it on youtube or whatever.

also, if you like reading mysteries- you could have your parents set up a mystery, that needs to be "solved". then, in your invitations, you could assign each guest, a character, one of them being the culprit. then you could all solve the mystery, working together.

oh, and since your party is in february- you could always have a valentine's party/birthday party and have both combined.

another thing that works is picking one friend to do something special, like getting mani's and pedi's.
