Sounds like a great party.

Before I moved out to the country and still lived in a fashionable big city neighborhood, I had a Bastille Day party every year.

When we all got sufficiently tipsy, we'd march from my house to the nearby entertainment district (I lived only 2 blocks away) carrying the French flag and singing the La Marseillaise. We'd then hand out free champagne and encourage the crowds to join in cheers of "Vive la France."
