Question:

Any ideas for my dialogue?

I have to write a dialogue for class and I was hoping someone could help me with some ideas. It is a short dialogue, only 3 pages, and between only two characters (1 male and 1 female)

This is my general idea. The two characters are walking in a park and bump into each other. Now, these two were friends from long ago and they have not seen each other in several years. After some talking they realize that each is not the same person and go their seperate ways.

What do you think would be a good conflict/diffenece for that realization to occur? In other words, what has changed?

Let me know what you think.

  1. I think that sounds like a good idea. Perhaps when they are swapping stories about school etc there is just always one little point that the other does not remember, but the big things remain OK such as their old neighbourhood, the school, the mall; but an occasional detail does not ring true for the other person, such as "No I don't remember having Miss Smith for Maths . . . but I think my brother did." Eventually it turns out that they were friends with the other one's twin or sibling.

    Have fun with it.

    Good luck!
