  1. We just had our prom and we had a kind of awards ceremony

there were about 10 categories e.g. most likely to succeed, best joker, rear of the year (LOL) and of course prom king and queen

everyone in the year had a voting form so we could each vote a male and female for each award - it worked really well :)

i live in england by the way and all the american traditions like the limos and prom king and queen were fantastic - i dont think theres anything bad about it

  2. buckingham palace or maybe excel in east london

  3. If you have a budget make the step too hire a hotel or hall have maybe a theme if you have any ideas for that hire a good dj or band or both and just ask around people you know about what they would like too have at the prom

  4. I had my prom on Friday and before hand i was also on the prom committee.

We decided to have a Hollywood kinda red carpet theme, and chose a gold (and blue i think *cant remember*) as a background colour that we can use on stuff (curtains, etc)

we also wanted to have a hotel of some sort as a venue, but that didn't work out (teachers hey)

But you can give this a try, when i was looking for a venue, we found this lady that helps you out with it. you tell her what you are looking for, and the price, and she looks for it for you.

her name's Leah Gilmore and this is her email: lgilmore@function-fixers.co.uk

But at the end we ended up back in our school hall with some dodgy music :D

    Good luck!

  5. Id have your prom in a Hotel Ballroom, if you can. I think its much more classy (:

I live in Harlow, and our prom was in The Greyhound Stadium.

Prom King and Queen is a nice idea, but think of the not so popular people in your year, I think you should have best dressed for girls and guys and the cutest couple :D

    It works much better :D

  6. it's a great idea to have it in a hotel or something, but once you start checking out prices you will get a shock ... I spent a year with my daughter and son-in-law researching venues for their wedding reception and the prices are just unrealistic
