Question:

Any ideas for non-skill rewards during Company golf outing??

The Company I work for has planned a golf outing and I am now in charge of coming up with ways we can reward people who are not actually that good at golf. The outing is a scramble and everyone is on a team of four. We are giving awards for the team with the best score, longest drive, etc. But the goal here is to come up with creative, possibly funny, ideas that can be rewarded. All I have come up with so far are things like "Most times in the bunker," "Most shots in the woods," Most shots in a water hazard." I'm hoping to get better ideas than that though. Please help!! Thanks.

  1. Most whiffs?  How about cutest and ugliest golf attire?  Or best-dressed terrible golfer?

  2. We did an Ambrose a couple of years ago for my company. Our rewards went along the lines of...

Most distance travelled by slipped club.

    Closest to spectators.

Reverse handicap (you know, the more shots you take the more points you get)

    Best excuse for crappy shot.

    Most creative golf carting.

    and my favourite...

Person who went out of their way to look the daggiest for a golf match.

We obviously didn't tell them about it before hand, but they all seemed to enjoy the extra gifts.

BTW...the most creative golf carting champion managed to drown his golf cart in the water hazard on the 5th! lol.

  3. Closest to the pin

    Longest drive

    Skins

    Lowest 18-hole total

    Hope I helped.

  4. I have played in tournaments with a prize for the longest "worm-burner."  Also you can put a pizza box in the rough somewhere and whoever gets closest to the pizza box could win free pizza.

  5. i got one.  how about giving a skirt to whoever hits a tee shot that doesn't go past the ladies tees'.  that shouldn't cause any embarrassment.

  6. I like Jonesini's idea for best dressed crappy golfer.

How about one for most expensive equipment from a crappy golfer.

Let me ask a question... why should they even be rewarded at all?  Society today is so concerned with making people feel good for doing a mediocre to bad job at all kinds of things.  WTF ever happened to making people earn rewards, respect, money, etc.?

  7. 1) The most times you tried to hit the ball and missed it.

    2)  The most trips to the john.

    3)  The most curse words.

    4)  The most beers consumed.

    5)  The most embarassing shot.

    6)  The highest handy cap.

    7)  The best caddy.

  8. How about if you just hide a pizza in the rough and people who see it can eat it.
