Any ideas for something unusual to do for a Fri. the 13th evening couples golf scramble?

I would like to either give something away to the couples participating or have something on the golf course that pertains to Friday the13th. Something uncomplicated is best.

If the course is not busy and the management doesn't object, you have a variety of options for contests and fun on #13:

* Golfers can only use a certain club (putter? 6 iron?) for the entire hole.

* Closest to the pin

* Longest putt

* Longest drive (or how about shortest drive?)

* Best or worst score

If the couples are not too old and they have a good sense of humor, I would suggest the following:

Have a mannequin dressed up as Jason (from the Friday The 13th horror films), and situate him on the 13th hole near the putting green.  Or even better, you can spike the flag pole through the mannequin, so that Jason is standing right over the hole (with fake machete in hand) as the golfers make their approach shot.

Since it's Friday the 13th and there is kind of a DEATH overtone to the date play The Tombstone Game.  Each player needs a handicap or an estimated handicap.  Add their handicap to par to determine their score of death.  For example mine is 3 for 9 holes and 6 for 18.  If you are playing nine and par is 36 my score of death is 39.  The goal is to see how many holes I can complete in 39 strokes or less.  Whoever completes the most holes wins.  Have Fun!!
