So as luck would have it, my car began making an oh so lovely grinding noise from the Right front wheel when I drove over uneven surfaces in the road (ie- manhole covers, bumps/dips, and of course speed bumps). So I took it to the repair shop today and the verdict was.....needs new stabilizer bushing...If I heard the car guy correctly - it is going to cost $260 for larbor and including the 2 parts of $20 each-to place the right and left for good measure. I would just like to have reassurance that this is difficult to get to and replace and that is why the labor is soooo lofty. Anyone have any thoughts ?? would greatly appreciate it !

  1. well the last time I replaced mine on a 87 monte carlo it cost me $10 for all the parts at the parts store and it took me a half hour to unbolt the old ones and bolt the new ones on, a very simple operation that anyone can do.
