Question:

Any ideas for ways to reduce our oil consumption???

I bought and now ride, as often as possible, a motorcycle that gets 60 to 70 mpg. I've also kept my house between 55 and 60 degrees this past winter, wearing long underwear, sweaters, and gloves to keep comfortable. I'd really appreciate any other suggestions. It's not that I can't personally AFFORD to live differently, but that I am REBELLING against the high cost of gas and heating oil while the BIG OIL companies are reaping RECORD profits. I just wish more people would be willing to do their part to "stick it to" them! I want to SPURN them and tell them to take their high priced oil and SHOVE IT!!! Anybody else out there "with me" on this? If so, please let me know and, if you have any suggestions, I am all ears!

  1. The solution is actually easy. If everyone boycotted, say, Esso for a month, they would be in deep sh*t. The following month, boycott BP. The trend would continue and the customer would then have the upper hand and could force the oil companies into lowering the price

  2. First we could run all cars made after this year on hydrogen. That should make a huge difference for a lot of reasons.

That horrible polluting food cost raising corn alchohol sure isn't the answer.
