Any ideas how I can get a cheaper airfare to SCOTLAND?

I have been to Scotland twice and paid maybe $600.00 R/T....I know those days are probably over.....but the cheapest right now is about $1100. Any thoughts?

Don't by conventional tickets. Especially if youre going internation you're going to be paying an arm and a leg. Last time I flew I used a guide recommended to me by my coworker at http://www.ebooksreviewed.info/cheapest-... . Its by an ex airline employee and has a lot of tricks for getting cheap rates. I knocked a couple hundred off of what I thought was already a good deal. For sure take a look before you pay too much.

The cheapest time of year to travel is during the fall/winter. (not including holiday wknds.)

So towards the end of Sept thru Feb is usually the cheapest (again, not including Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Yrs, etc). Once we're in March, air fares start rising because of spring break and only continue to go up as the summer comes.

And if you can purchase your ticket at least 6 months in advance (or possibly even more in advance than THAT), it's usually even cheaper.

Try STA Travel ..they have a few offices in the US or you can check out their website - statravel.com..they usually have some pretty good deals.

Try a charter flight, or try a different airport.

I have also bought tickets from travel consolidators -- do a search on "airline consolidator" and you should find something
