Any ideas how i can advertise my bands gigs on local radio for free?

  1. Send them a demo tape with dates and venues, you never know you might get some air play as well


  2. Depends what sort of music it is. Try Roger Hill on BBC Radio Merseyside. You could also try Steve Barker, who does "On the Wire" on BBC Radio Lancs. Both can be found on the normal BBC site- look for local radio then search by name. You could also check out other presenters.

    In Southport there's Dune Radio, which you should be able to google or find in Yellow Pages. Also, the editor of the free newspaper - "The Champion" promotes bands and I think he has a show on community radio.

  3. Get in touch with the Uni and do it through there, easy.....

  4. yes offer the local radio station free tickets to give away to listeners and offer them listeners back stage passes,

    a little goes a long way with radio presenters

    or offer free stuff like demo disk sighned shirts stuff like that
