Any ideas how much will an inverter last?

Hey guys, do you have any idea how long will an ac inverter last? Can it last for about ten years? if theres one can you please tell me where to buy them? THanks

Life of inverter  mainly depends on the quality of battery used and the place where it is being installed.

The battery should be of good quality and properly maninatied.

The place should be dust free so that the electronic components will not be subjected to earlier damage.

such a well maintained inverter will work 12-15 years

For a regular car cigarette lighter  inverter, try amazon.com, Wal-Mart or an auto parts store.

Inverters pretty much last indefinitely. Failure is a random kind of thing, but a typical inverter should easily last 10 years. Seriously elevated temperature can theoretically reduce the lifetime.
