Question:

Any ideas how to convince my mom to let me get another rabbit?

I currently have a Holland Lop that I've had for a little over a year. I've had other rabbits before, but my parents have only let me have one at a time. We have a seperate room in our basement that used to be a workshop where I keep my rabbit, so my parents don't have to deal with the smell even though there really isn't one. I'm responsible and am in charge of taking care of my rabbit; my parents have never had to take care of him. If I got another rabbit I would take care of that one also. My parents have never given me a straight answer for not letting me have more than one rabbit at once. Any ideas how I can convince my parents to let me get another rabbit?

  1. well me myself just yesterday me and my mom went into the pet store and i got to hold a bunny but my mom said no but that normal when u have a cat,2 guinea pigs,a fish and 2 birds but tell your parents you will pay for some of the bunny that's how i got my cat i paid 100$ for my cat make it clear that you are responsible for your first bunny i hope this helps im still trying to convince my mom of getting my a bunny so far i might just get a mouse so its working

  2. Agh! Someone finally understands!

I have the same problem, except with my guinea pig.

What you have to do is go in over drive proving you can be responsible.

Show them you can care for 2.

    Also,this worked for me.

Step 1.Wright a note to your mom/dad (Rabbits are social creatures. They do better in groups

Step 2. Fold in to 4ths

Step 3 Hide near your parents

Step 4 Throw it at them.

Step 5 RUN! BEFORE THE THEY CAN DO ANYTHING!

  3. You've made a very good case for youself here.  I don't know what's wrong with your parents little girl.  I would definately get you a 2nd rabbit, but if it did become a problem, you would have to get rid of one.

I would threaten them with a hunger strike.

If everything is true, there is no logical reason why you shouldn't get a 2nd rabbit.  I assume you offered to pay for the 2nd rabbit?

  4. You should tell your mom that since the rabbit is in a seperate room, it is getting lonely and depressed. Tell them that with another bunny, its not much more food and the other bunny has another friend to keep him busy so he wont chew or tear up things in the house. Also, tell your parents that when you have two rabbits, they dont require as much people attention so you wont have to worry about it getting very lonely.

If that doesnt work, say that it doesnt cost too much more, and that you will clean all of it etc... IF they dont notice the bunny or go see it alot, just get one anyway. I did this and my parents thought he was just too cute and they didnt get mad.

  5. Well just show them that you are responsible and from what you typed you sound very responsible i  don't see why not they won't get you another one....maybe it's because of the money try to save up money to buy the rABBIT OR THEE FOOD

  6. Cook the first one so they understand how tasty they are.
