  1. What are the pictures of?,if they are of military members or those who have displayed heroism,I seriouly doubt the VFW will let you disrespect them. You and your party are using their facility for rental(im assuming) so they may not let you do that. You may want to see what the rental agreement says prior or ask them. Good luck.

  2. find out first if you are allowed to cover them up...and if so....be creative........get a plain sheet...........and decorate it with the wedding colors(if in random splashes of paint in wedding colors.....colored streamers, balloons etc etc....CREATIVE is the key)...........and pics of the bride and groom........from the fun, romantic, embarrassing, first date, caught on camera type pics

  3. For my graduation, we bought a spool of plastic vinyl sheet, in purple, (u can get whatever color u want) and we covered up all the murals in our gym by taping it to the wall...It looked great. You have to be careful, because you dont want it to look sloppy.

  4. Are you allowed to cover them up?  If not, then I would consider contacting a trade show company to see if they could rent some pipe and drape to place behind the bridal table.  There are a variety of colors available and I'm sure it wouldn't be that expensive.

    Best wishes!!!!!!

  5. Get some wedding wrapping paper and wrap the pictures.  Then get some bows and put  on them, then they look like  packages hanging on the wall.  Just make sure that the VFW is okay with this option first.

  6. I would make a curtain with coordinating fabric.  Depending on the length of the wall, you may be able to use an extra long tension rod (like a shower curtain rod) or a clothesline pulled really tight and supprted along the way (probably pinned to the ceiling) may work as well.  They also make those fringed foil curtains to decorate walls that you may want to try. 7. The VFW most likely has tiles that can 'pop-up' (if not, see note at bottom).  So, get the following materials: (size will depend on the height of ceiling and width you desire)

white or chosen color of tulle

    heavy duty paper clips

    clear small xmas lights

paper similar in color to wall to cover picture

Do this:(practice before the day so you get it 'just right')

    cover picture with the paper

Slightly gather tulle and suspend from ceiling tile with twisted clips.  If you slightly pop up the tile, you can fit one end of the twisted clip in the tile and the other end through a bunch of material.

Suspend a string of lights behind tulle.  Don't use too many.  The effect isn't to blind people but to provide a romantic drape.

Let tulle flow sloftly to the floor.

If you can't pop up the tile, see if you can hang a rod of some type- a large curtain rod, shower rod or tight fishing wire.

  8. drap the wall with fabric or get some lattic and add some lights, ivy, flowers, tulle. anything to distract from the pictures and add to your event. you could also rearrange how you set up the room if you can't do anything about the pics.

  9. I had one of my clients cover some frames with balloon decorations...

    Good luck!

    two teacups

  10. My friend used some table covering- the plastic colored kind. She bought rolls of table covering and hung it from the ceiling. Then she got some hanging wedding decorations and put that on the wall.

Or you could hide the wall with the table covering and string white Christmas lights in rows from the ceiling.
