  1. tie a piece of rope around it

  2. I got some blue painters tape and wrapped it all around the handles.  It makes it pretty easy to spot...as long as you aren't on the same flight as me!

  3. In the many times I have traveled in the USA and around the world, I have done the following.  Inside the suitcase I check, I place a business card (or paper with my name and phone number) and a copy of my main passport page which make it possible for my ownership to be identified even if the outside tags disappear.  The passport page helps me get a passport replacement if my passport is lost or stolen and I am in another country.  On the outside, I use a 2 inch wide strip of duct tape to make a single stripe on each of the six sides of the suitcase and around each of two handles.  The bright red strips allow me to see my suitcase as soon as it hits the luggage rack at the airport or in the hotel lobby from a considerable distance away.

  4. Buy some colored electrical tape & make a design on it - your initials is good.

  5. 1. Bright and big luggage tags. These tags are made oversized and in neon colors unlike the luggage tags of yesterday. They are available in unique designs such as animals, flowers, and licensed characters and teams. Look for durable ones that will not rip off in transit.

    2. Luggage straps. Luggage straps go around the entire suitcase and come in a wide variety of colors, sizes and prints. Different widths are on the market so pick the widest one you can find for maximum exposure. Make sure to put it back on the bag and not leave it where you are staying while traveling.

    3. Luggage spotters. They are wrapped around just the handle of the bag and are secured with Velcro. They also provide extra cushion when picking up or carrying a bag. Consider getting one for each handle as most pieces of luggage have a handle on the top and side.

    4. Iron on tags. These patches are directly ironed onto a bag and come in a wide variety of sizes and designs. Many different styles and categories are available to give your bag personal flair. They are permanent and can be seen from any angle on the carousel.

    5. Personalized luggage tags. Add personal style and design to your bags. Sport a favorite team, dog breed, cartoon character, etc. This option is not ideal for someone who moves frequently as your address is permanently printed on the luggage tag.

    6. Pom Poms. Tie a pom pom onto the handle of the bags. Try to pick a unique color as many travelers use this method. You may want to reinforce the pom pom by tying extra string to make sure it is secure on handle.

    7. Stickers. Permanent stickers are great for hard clam shell suitcases and should stay on luggage for a period of time. Make sure the sticker is waterproof and will not come off easily.

  6. Get a bright-colored luggage strap (about $10 at WalMart). It identifies your luggage and also keeps the locks more secure.

You could also tie a pretty fuschia ribbon on the handle.

  7. This happend to my family when we went to Las Vegas...you never notice how many black suitcases there are in the world until you are trying to find your own. lol.  Try to tie a bright ribbon on the handle ( like the ones that some people put on presents).   If you can you can try to decorate the suitcase with gel pens of fabriic paints.  It usually looks cool and no one will have anything like it.

best of luck and have fun.

  8. There are many things you could do. I have seen many unique name tags that are very colorful you could buy and attach to your suitcase, take a colorful tape and tape around your bag. I have even seen a suitcase in the airport with a huge flower attached to the bag. Be creative and find something to make your suitcase unique. Good luck, I hope this helps.

  9. A colourful bag tag, some coloured electrical tape, or a coloured ribbon all work great.

Better yet- don't buy black luggage.  People laugh at my multi-coloured bag, but I've had it for three years and I can spot it a mile away.

  10. You can tie a scarf, but take a weird color because a lot of people are doing it.

The best way to recognize it is to put something that nobody will have so be creative and unique.

  11. go to home depot, buy a weird color masking tape, and just put a on foot piece of tape on each side of your luggage.  that why u can easly see it when it comes to the luggage pick up.

if you luggage was lost thats the air ports fault and they will mail it to your house when they find it.
