Question:

Any ideas of making textured paper?

i have to do an art project for my class and take normal paper and make it textured-but has to be like 3D.

my teacher said i can burn edges of paper to make it curl.

crumple it.

just stuff like that.

any creative ideas? Thanks :)

  1. Fiskars makes plastic texturized plates. You put your paper on top of them and rub to get the texture on the paper.


  2. Put something under the paper (kind of thick like a coin) then rub something like the wrong end of a pen around the object. It will make raised impressions in the paper. You could just make it random or make a pattern.

  3. Add sand to paint to get a rough texture ;)))

  4. get a knife

    put the non sharp side on the paper

    move knife around
